Hi Laura,
There will probably be snow on the trail. I would reach out to Hotel Center Pokljuka for advice, since they’re located directly at the trailhead. Also, you can monitor conditions by viewing this Pokljuka webcam.

Me and my wife decided for this short trek after reading your article and seeing the photos. Indeed, a lovely trek!
This is definitely not just a 2050m peak, it is a very accessible peak with a very nice view!
We chose to return on a different path than the one we arrived on. We continued the path from Visevnik by descending into a saddle, where the path splits in two: left descends to Jezerca, and the right goes round Visevnik (on its north side) and re-connects with the path took to Visevnik. The took the one on the right and the view was also nice in the glacial valley.
