The Location

Tofane di Rozes, Ampezzo Dolomites, Cortina d'Ampezzo

Cortina d’Ampezzo is located in Ampezzo Valley in the Italian Alps in northeastern Italy. The town is ringed by the spectacular Tofane Group, Sorapiss Group, Cristallo Group, and Croda da Lago chain.

Cortina is a world-famous ski resort. The winter season commences in mid/late December and ends in late March/early April.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is also a hotspot for hiking and via ferrata climbing in summer and fall (mid/late June to mid/late October).

Camina Suite and Spa, Cortina d'Ampezzo boutique hotel, Italy

Camina Suite & Spa is situated 1 km north of the Cortina d’Ampezzo town center. To reach Cortina’s pedestrian zone, you can either walk 15 minutes, or drive 5 minutes.

Camina Suite & Spa is an ideal place to stay if you’re traveling with a car, because you don’t have to navigate the busy town center and pay for parking.

If you’re traveling without a car, the 1 km distance to the town center may seem a bit long. However, there is an enjoyable pedestrian/cycling path, behind the hotel, which leads to the center of town in 15 minutes.

The hotel is located along Località Majon/SS51, the road which leads to S. Uberto/Ra Stua trailhead and continues on to Lago di Landro/Dürrensee, Lago di Dobbiaco/Toblacher See and Alta Pusteria/Pustertal.

From Camina Suite & Spa, all these destinations and trails are within reach:

The Rooms

Camina Suite & Spa Room, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

Oak floors, white walls, fir wardrobes, and natural fabrics in muted hues provide a uniform aesthetic across the 12 rooms and suites.

The Camina Suites are cozy, understated and functional with ample wardrobe space and comfortable seating areas. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, but sleek and modern in slate gray. Toiletries by ANYA are provided.

All rooms have balconies with either views of the Croda da Lago and Tofane Groups or Monte Cristallo and Pomaganon.

If you’re visiting Cortina d’Ampezzo in summer, you’ll be thrilled to know that each room has air-conditioning.

Another compelling reason to stay at Camina Suite & Spa is the sound insulation. Despite the hotel’s location on a main road, we didn’t hear any street noise.

Extra perks include the in-room Nespresso machines, electric kettles (tea bags provided), mini fridges, safes, and flat screen TVs.

Wellness & Spa

Camina Suite and Spa hay sauna, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy

Located on the top floor, the adults-only (18+) hotel spa is a smart space in fir and slate with mountain vistas.

The spa facilities are new and modern. There are three saunas (hay, steam, and Finnish), multi-sensory showers, a relaxation area with loungers facing the Tofane Group, a large Pomaganon facing balcony, and a tea bar.

The use of the wellness space is complimentary and unlimited between 4 pm and 8 pm daily

It’s also possible to book private use of the spa between 10 am and 12:30 pm, which costs 50 EUR per room.

Bathrobes, slippers and towels are all provided.

Spa Etiquette: The spa area is a unisex nudist area: bathing suits are not allowed. In the wood saunas, always place a towel underneath your body, so your (beautiful sweaty) body doesn’t touch the wood directly. If you’re uncomfortable being nude, you can always wrap a towel around you as well.
