Hi Tess,

There is some overlap if you opt for the route to Rifugio Dibona (rather than the direct route down to Lagazuoi Pass), so I don’t think it’s necessary to do this hike independently of the AV1.

Hi Janya,
The best time of year to do the Croda da Lago Circuit is right now because of the golden larches. Start as early as possible. If you can get up to Lake Federa for sunrise, you won’t regret it.

We’re visiting Dolomites this weekend and we have every day planned execept for Sunday, and we’re trying to decide between hiking Tofana di Roses circut and Croda da Lago Circuit, which one would you recommend?
We’re both experienced hikers and climbers so Via Ferrata sounds interesting but Croda da Lago Circuit photos just take my breath away and I really can’t decide.
